Rai Benjamin won 400m at Mt SAC Relays signaling strong comeback and preparation for gold at the Paris Olympics.

Olympic silver medallist Rai Benjamin delivered a resounding victory at the Mt SAC Relays stopping the clock at 44.42 seconds in the 400m race this past Saturday.

This marks a significant return to form for Benjamin, who is intently preparing for the upcoming Paris Olympics with an eye on securing his first individual gold medal in the 400m hurdles.

Since claiming silver behind Norway's Karsten Warholm in a memorable race at the Tokyo Olympics, Benjamin has been relentless in his pursuit of improvement.

His recent performance at Mt. San Antonio College east of Los Angeles not only underscores his readiness but also his resolve to reach the top of the podium in Paris.

The athlete's display of speed and stamina sends a strong message to his competitors about his peak condition and tactical intelligence on the track.

Benjamin's dominance in the 400m is part of a broader strategy to fine-tune his speed, essential for the 400m hurdles where precision and power are key.

"It's all about consistency and building the right momentum," Benjamin mentioned post-race.

Meanwhile, fellow American Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, also an Olympic gold medallist and world record holder in the women's 400m hurdles, made a more understated return to competition at the same event.

After recovering from a knee injury that sidelined her at the World Championships in Budapest, McLaughlin-Levrone competed in the 4x100m relay.

Her team finished second, clocking in at 42.92 seconds, showcasing her ongoing recovery and gradual return to peak form.

The relays also featured performances from other notable athletes like Britain's Dina Asher-Smith and Saint Lucian sprinter Julian Alfred, who clinched the top spot in the 200m race.

For Rai Benjamin, the victory at the Mt. SAC Relays is more than just another win; it is a stepping stone towards his ultimate goal at the Paris Olympics.

With the games fast approaching, every race serves as a critical part of his strategic preparation.
