Kentucky, Alabama and Texas are some of the teams said to be interested in Kaluma.

Ugandan forward Arthur Kaluma has reportedly withdrawn from the NBA draft to return to College basketball.

The Silverbacks player had officially declared for the 2023 NBA draft after the March Madness with the Creighton University Blue Jays.

"After much prayer and thoughtful consideration, I have decided to enter the 2023 NBA Draft, I am excited to take this next step in my basketball journey and look forward to what the future holds," Kaluma announced in April.

But ESPN's Jeff Borzello is now reporting that Kaluma is withdrawing from the draft and returning to college via the transfer portal, and Kentucky is one of a few schools already mentioned to be interested in his services.

Kaluma averaged 11.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in his second season for Creighton, which was an improvement from the 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists average in the first season.

In his two seasons as a Blue Jay, Kaluma played 68 games, averaging 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

He shot 43.3 percent from the floor, 29.1 percent from three-point range and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line. He helped Creighton reach the Elite Eight this past season.

Having played two seasons already, Kaluma still has two years of eligibility remaining.

Kentucky, Alabama and Texas are some of the teams said to be interested in Kaluma.

With Kentucky losing Oscar Tshiebwe, who scored 20.8 percent of its points and collected 32.6 percent of its rebounds from a season ago, Kaluma is seen as a valuable piece.

Kaluma has represented Uganda in the FIBA Afrobasket and the Fiba Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.
