FUFA Invites Parliament to Tour Key Football Facilities Ahead of Landmark Exhibition Match
FUFA has invited Uganda's Parliament to tour major football facilities, including the new Kadiba Stadium, in a bid to strengthen ties and showcase infrastructure progress ahead of a symbolic exhibition match.
Serbian coaches have a history of success with Villa. Most recently, Dusan Stojanovic led the Jogoos to their first league title in 20 years during the 2023/2024 season.
According to New Vision source also revealed to Vision Sport that Byekwaso may remain with the club as an assistant, a position he previously held under Stojanovic.
Following a disappointing sixth-place finish last season and the failure to defend their title, Byekwaso faced intense criticism from Villa supporters. The team struggled, particularly during a difficult first half of the season, marked by poor away form.
Byekwaso's previous association with rivals KCCA, both as a player and coach, has further fueled fan discontent.

Ugandan Coach Handed Massive Role at MLS Club New York Red Bulls
A Ugandan coach is set to serve in a big role at MLS club New York Red Bulls following his promotion from the second-string side.
Fan frustration has also been directed at club president Omar Mandela over the continued loss of key players on free transfers. Many supporters are questioning the club's long-term strategy and sustainability.
This recurring issue saw star players like Charles Bbaale and then-captain Gift Fred depart at the end of the 2022/2023 season. Despite winning the title in 2023/2024, the trend continued with the free transfers of captain Kenneth Semakula and midfielder Umar Lutalo.
Most recently, captain Ronald Ssekiganda joined Rwanda’s APR on a free transfer, and forward Patrick Kakande is reportedly close to signing with league champions Vipers. Midfielder Aslam Ssemakula is also rumored to be considering a move to rivals KCCA.
