The upcoming leg of the 2025 KCB East Africa Golf Tour is set to tee off on June 28, 2025, at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa.
Team Uganda will be looking to shine on home soil following KCB Bank Uganda’s confirmation. The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Roar on the Green’, and the organisers have promised a thrilling show.
Uganda claimed top honours at the 2024 Grand Finale held at Sigona Golf Club, Kenya, a morale booster for the nation to continue defying the odds.

The Africa Sevens exposed the problems of Uganda Rugby Cranes 7s but the poor outing is an opportunity to build for a brighter future.
The Ugandan quartet of Cywaai Joseph (HCP 5), Peace Kabasweka (HCP 2), Babirye Martha (HCP 4), and Abdul Nasser Kakeeto (HCP 3) clinched the title with a remarkable team score of 109 points, narrowly edging out Tanzania’s 106.
Thanks to their dominant victory, they walked away with Ksh 1 million in prize money. The money was partly used to support sustainability initiatives.
Team Uganda also earned an all-expenses-paid trip to the distinguished Rwanda Open Golf Tournament following their victory.

The golfers will take on demanding fairways, unpredictable water hazards, and lightning-fast greens, all in pursuit of birdies and momentum-shifting putts.
“It is always an honour to compete on home soil, and the KCB East Africa Golf Tour brings together some of the best talent in the region. I look forward to giving my best and showcasing how much the sport has grown in Uganda,” Peace Kabasweka said.
The organisers have promised golf enthusiasts a once in a lifetime of experience. Golf fans can expect to see booming tee shots, precise iron play, and pressure-filled saves as teams fight for every crucial stroke.
The event will feature four-ball teams competing under the Stafford format. In this format, the best three scores per hole contribute to the team’s total.
This format demands individual precision, seamless teamwork, course management, and tactical shot-making.
Following its track record, the KCB East Africa Golf Tour has received boosts from ICEA Lion and Kenya Airways, whose sponsorship has significantly contributed to the tournament’s success.
