The Cricket Cranes' tour to Qatar will easily pass as one with the most memorable moments for some national team players.

The squad, which is in the gulf state for four one-day international games, had an opportunity to catch up with cricket legends.

Batsmen Simon Ssesazi and Ronald Lutaaya are some of the Cricket Cranes players who had the opportunity to mingle with arguably one of the greatest batsmen in Twenty20 cricket Chris Gayle.

"Sharing a moment with the universe boss in Qatar on my birthday, the Lord made it. Thanks to God." Lutaaya captioned a picture shared on his Twitter handle.

"Finally, the boss meets the universe boss. Oh my God, this is the best moment of my life." Simon Ssesazi also captioned his picture with the former West Indies cricketer.

Nicknamed "the Universe Boss", Gayle is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most destructive batsmen to have played Twenty20 cricket and, by some, the best ever.

Amongst so many other milestones achieved by Chris Gayle, the 43-year-old is the only player to score more than 14000 runs and hit more than 1000 sixes in T20 cricket.

Lawrence Mahatlane's charges kick start their tour against the Qatari national cricket team in the 50 overs on Thursday at 9 am at the Doha university of science and technology ground.
