Msuva broke the hearts of over 40 million Ugandans when he stubbed in a late goal that gifted Tanzania a 1-0 win over the Cranes last Friday in Cairo.

Simon Msuva believes that Tanzania has all it takes to complete a double over Uganda Cranes when the two clash on Tuesday in round four in Group F of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Msuva broke the hearts of over 40 million Ugandans when he stubbed in a late goal that gifted Tanzania a 1-0 win over the Cranes last Friday in Cairo.

The result lifted them to second in the group with four points ahead of Niger and Uganda.

The forward feels the team has activated business mode after their short celebrations as they aim a double on their East African neighbours.

“We won the first game but it’s now behind us because the team is focused on winning again on Tuesday,” Msuva who plays for Al-Qadsiar in Saudi Arabia said ahead of the game.

“We knew that a win would unlock our chances in the group but now want to go and push further. The competition is still open so we have to fight hard on Tuesday

Msuva says the team is psyched up for the match with the players encouraging each other but urges the 12th man to turn in numbers to support them.

“The most important thing is the players are pushing themselves and we’re boosting each other’s morale. The job is not yet done that’s why we want to urge our fans to come in numbers and support us.

The match will kick off at 8 pm East African Time.
