FUFA has invited Uganda's Parliament to tour major football facilities, including the new Kadiba Stadium, in a bid to strengthen ties and showcase infrastructure progress ahead of a symbolic exhibition match.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has extended a special invitation to Members of Parliament for a nationwide tour of vital football infrastructure from June 16th to 18th, 2025.

The initiative, which will include a visit to the newly constructed Kadiba Stadium, aims to strengthen the relationship between Uganda’s football governing body and the legislative arm of government.

Parliament to Visit Four Major Football Facilities

The delegation from Parliament is set to tour four important sites including Kadiba Stadium, Lugazi Stadium, Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku, and the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

These facilities form the backbone of FUFA’s operations and are critical to both grassroots and professional football in Uganda.

With Parliament having consistently pushed for increased funding for sports development, FUFA views this visit as a pivotal opportunity to showcase how previous investments are translating into tangible progress.

The tour will offer MPs a comprehensive view of the facilities’ training grounds, residential blocks, administrative buildings, and ongoing upgrades.

“This initiative promotes football development and advocates for greater access to the sport for all Ugandans,” stated FUFA Communications Director Ahmed Hussein, emphasizing the role of football as a unifying force and a platform for national development.

FUFA Presidents’ XI to Face Parliament Football Team

The highlight of the three-day engagement will be an exhibition match pitting the FUFA Presidents’ XI against the Parliament of Uganda Football Team.

The FUFA side is expected to feature legendary names like Hassan Mubiru, Hakim Magumba, Alex Isabirye, and Tony Mawejje.

The Parliament team, coached by former Uganda Cranes defender Tom Lwanga, is anticipated to bring spirited competition and camaraderie to the event.
