FUFA has maintained the requirements of coaches in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Initially, ahead of the next campaign, the minimum requirements for a head coach competing in the top-tier league had been set at CAF A or its equivalent.

However, the FUFA EXCO took a decision to maintain the previous minimum requirement of CAF B License for both the head coach and assistant coach positions.

The developments were confirmed during the FUFA EXCO sitting on Tuesday at FUFA House, Mengo.

Meanwhile, a part of the decisions set, the CAF A requirement has been pushed to the next season (2024/25) when it will be put into effect.

The football governing body in the country has thus confirmed they will organize a CAF A coaching course along the way, which will be open to all coaches.

The topflight boasts a few names with the CAF A license including URA FC's Sam Timbe, Vipers SC's Alex Isabirye, Arua Hill SC's Livingstone Mbabazi, and Soltilo Bright Stars' Asaph Mwebaze.
