The course is delivered in two separate blocks in two separate years. Both blocks include practical and theoretical aspects.

Uganda closed in on neighbours Kenya and Tanzania, who are ranked 147 and 151, while Rwanda dropped to 165.
Obua, who made his name as Uganda Cranes captain, has tried to establish himself as a coach since retiring from active football.
He has had stints at Maroons and also managed Lango Province in the 2022 FUFA Drum after replacing Viali Bainomugisha.
In September 2018, Obua became the assistant coach of Maroons FC and signed a three-year contract, working alongside then-head coach George Nsimbe.

On Monday, the President of Uganda, HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, assented to the National Sports Bill 2023, which replaces the 1964 National Council of Sports Act.
Born in Kampala, Uganda, Obua played for a number of clubs in Uganda including Police FC.
He also spent some time in Mauritius and in the United States, where he played for Raleigh Capital Express and Wilmington Hammerheads whille attending college.
Obua was spotted by Kaizer Chiefs while playing for the Uganda Cranes against South Africa and was offered a three-year contract.

The English-born-Ugandan left-back was handed a place in the starting 11 but was later withdrawn at the break with the Scottish side down 3-0.
He made his debut on August 11, 2005, in a 2–0 win over Dynamos. He scored his first Chiefs goal in the Soweto derby on October 29, 2005.
Obua impressed during his time in South Africa, winning the championship and South African Player of the Year in season 2006–07
After the expiry of his Kaizer Chiefs contract, Obua was available on a free transfer in the summer of 2008 and landed a trial with Premier League club West Ham United before agreeing a deal with Scottish Premier League club Heart of Midlothian.

With the Coaching Diploma now completed, it remains to be seen whether one of Uganda's icons on the field of play can replicate the same heroics as a coach on the touchline.
