Prize money doubles as PAU release roadmap for 2023

All the top seeds will battle in the PAU Open

The Pool Association of Uganda has doubled the prize money for the 2023 season from a paltry shs.10 million.

The reigning men’s champions Mbale Pool Club received shs. 3 million for winning the title as losing finalists Capital Night consoled with shs. 2 million.

In the ladies’ category, champions Mukono Pool Club were awarded shs. 2 million while Upper Volta and Scrap Buyers got shs. 1 million and shs. 500,000.

That is set to improve this season with PAU increasing the prize money.

Roadmap

The season’s roadmap began in February with club registration which runs up to the end of March before a stakeholder’s meeting on April 15th.

The fixtures are expected to be released two weeks later before the respective men's and women’s leagues cue off on May 13th and June 1st.
