Rising Stars will make their debut against three-time champions Nigeria, 1997 winners Morocco and Tunisia in what promises to be a competitive pool. The tournament is set to run from April 26 to May 18 in Egypt.

Kenya will represent the CECAFA region alongside Tanzania after the two teams reached the regional qualifiers final held in Dar es Salaam last October. Despite falling 2-1 to hosts Tanzania in the final, both teams secured qualification for the tournament.

Group ‘C’, meanwhile, features defending champions Senegal, the Central African Republic, DR Congo, and Ghana.

The top two teams in each group, along with the two best third-placed sides, will advance to the quarter-finals as the tournament progresses into the knockout phase.

The four semi-finalists will also punch their tickets to the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, set to take place in Chile from September 27 to October 19.
