Chelsea have lowered their asking price for Christopher Nkunku, according to The Athletic.

The Club World Cup Champions are reportedly prepared to sell the forward for £43 million, despite valuing him at £65 million in January.

So far, it has been reported that clubs from the Premier League, Serie A, and the Bundesliga have expressed interest in the player.

Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market, having already completed the signings of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens. The North London Club is expected to unveil new faces, with the possibility of another attacker arriving.

Chelsea have bolstered their frontline with Delap, Pedro, and Gittens, while Estevao Willian is set to join soon. These additions have evidently pushed Christopher Nkunku down the pecking order.

Christopher Nkunku featured regularly in the Club World Cup, even appearing in the final. However, this has not significantly improved his standing at the club.

Reports have indicated that there was initial interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United; however, no formal offers have been submitted.

Chelsea initially valued Christopher Nkunku at over £60m in January. This figure deterred potential buyers. To encourage offers, Chelsea have now dropped the asking price to around £43.3m, down by £22m.

Christopher Nkunku was signed for £52m in 2023, so Chelsea are aiming to minimise losses while offloading a surplus player.

Christopher Nkunku made 27 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
