A beautiful Human being - Mikel Obi explains why Jose Mourinho is not racist

Rival team Galatasaray has accused Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho, of using racial remarks and intends to file criminal charges against the legendary coach.

The charge comes after Monday's tense 0-0 stalemate between the teams in the Turkish Süper Lig.

About the response of coaches and substitutes after an incident in the first half, Mourinho informed reporters after the game that Galatasaray's bench had been jumping like monkeys.

Mourinho's post-match statement was deliberately taken entirely out of context and distorted misleadingly according to Fenerbahçe.

Super Eagles of Nigeria legend Mikel Obi who played for Mourinho during his time at Chelsea has responded to the accusations.

On his Obi One Podcast, Mikel explained that Mourinho is a beautiful human being.

He said, "For them to label our African dad a racist for me, that's a fucking joke.

"Not Jose Mourinho, not somebody I know really, really well.

"Somebody we all know really, really well.

"This is politics in football in Turkey, Jose Mourinho is somebody that loves everybody.

"A beautiful, beautiful human being you can ever meet,

The straightforward human being you can ever meet in your life, says it as it is.

Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, loved us as his own children.

"So for me, this comment, this situation, I don't want to get into it, because it is baseless."

Fenerbahçe is presently six points behind Galatasaray in the league, as the title race heats up.

The 62-year-old, who has managed Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and AS Roma among other teams, is regarded as one of the greatest coaches of his generation.
