Udinese were resilient against Stefano Pioli's side and shocked AC Milan by defeating them 1-0 on the night.

Roberto Pereyra’s second-half penalty kick was enough to give Udinese the win after a difficult encounter.

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli made four changes to his side that lost a two-goal lead against Napoli last weekend.

Udinese manager, on the other hand, stuck with his first eleven that drew with Monza last weekend before losing to Cagliari in the Coppa Italia.

The game started with AC Milan looking more attacking-minded and dominating the possession in the game.

However, despite all their efforts in the first half, they were unable to find a breakthrough against Udinese.

Both teams came out for the second half but unfortunately, AC Milan conceded the first goal of the game.

Udinese was awarded a penalty and Roberto Pereyra put the ball low into the right of the net, giving goalkeeper Mike Maignan no chance.

AC Milan continued to find an equaliser and put more pressure on the Udinese defence but all their efforts were to no avail.

The referee blew the whistle for full time with AC Milan ending the game in a 1-0 defeat to Udinese.
