Arsenal make opening bid of just £9 million for new midfielder as Partey replacement
Thomas Partey's future at Arsenal is increasingly uncertain, with several reports suggesting the Ghanaian midfielder is on his way out of the Emirates this summer.
The Gunners are keen to strengthen their midfield options and have reportedly identified Brentford's Christian Norgaard as a potential addition this summer.
Jorginho has already agreed a move away from the Gunners, and the club are unable to agree a new deal with Partey.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal made an opening offer for the holding midfielder.

They placed a bid worth over £9.3 million. The Gunner made the offer to test the Premier League club.
However, Brentford immediately rejected the bid. The Bees believe the player is worth more. Talks between the two sides are still ongoing.
Norgaard joined Brentford in 2019, helping them win promotion to the Premier League under Thomas Frank, who has since replaced Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager.
