StarTimes Uganda Premier League clubs will travel their longest-ever distance this season after Arua Hill decided to relocate to Adjumani Town Council.

The club had earlier been forced to shift to Kavumba Recreation Ground in Kampala after their own Barifa Stadium failed the licensing test but they have now confirmed another venue in West Nile.

The club announced on Tuesday night that they will be moving to Paridi Stadium, which has been undergoing a facelift.

“Our new home Paridi Stadium in Adjumani has been approved by FUFA to host StarTimes Uganda Premier League matches for the 2023/24 season,” Arua Hill announced the new development.

The club management also promised to continue rehabilitating Barifa to be able to return to Arua in the course of the season.

“We strive to put back Barifa Stadium hopefully some games will be in Arua,” they promised.

Arua Hill has been dogged by a number of issues recently that have threatened to flush them out of the league.

The issues include ownership challenges and then hooligans who vandalized their stadium, leaving it in a deplorable state.

The issues forced FUFA to withhold their license to participate in the league this season as they were eliminated from the pre-season FUFA 8 tournament and replaced with Bright Stars.

The club appealed the decision and was allowed back after fixing a number of issues, but it had to relocate to Kampala.

They kick off their campaign with a home fixture against Busoga United on Sunday 17th September.
