Barcelona president reveals one regret about Lamine Yamal’s infamous birthday

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has finally addressed the controversy surrounding Lamine Yamal’s 18th birthday celebration, offering a measured yet supportive take.

While the party sparked plenty of headlines, Laporta revealed that he had only one regret about the infamous shindig.

He stressed that the player, now legally an adult, simply wanted to celebrate a milestone with friends, including influencers, singers, and fellow celebrities.

The president praised the event’s elegance and even stated he was happy to see Yamal enjoy himself. Despite the criticism over certain entertainment choices and the phone ban, Laporta said the party was private and that Yamal showed full professionalism by returning to training and performing at a high level.

“Whatever Lamine does now… will always be in the spotlight,” Laporta remarked, acknowledging the intense attention on the rising star.

While President Laporta stood firmly by Lamine Yamal, he did admit to one personal regret: skipping the event.
