Barcelona’s Pedri has been ruled out of the rest of the European Championships should Spain advance past Germany after sustaining an injury in the quarter-final clash against Die Mannschaft.
Pedri's injury problems
Pedri, 21, has had an injury-ridden career since the last European Championships, in which he won the Young Player of the Tournament.
He only managed 16 starts for Barcelona last campaign, as he spent a chunk of the season in the infirmary. However, he made it in time for the European Championships, much to the delight of Spain's manager, Luis De La Fuente.
The La Roja boss immediately slotted Pedri into his team, and the Barcelona star has been an integral part of their journey to the competition's quarter-finals.

La Roja enjoyed an early wave of attack, prompting a frustrated Germany to react with aggressive tackles. Pedri was a victim of this harsh treatment.
He had to be substituted as early as the eighth minute of the game for Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, after bearing the brunt of two crunching tackles.
