Bevis Mugabi: Uganda Cranes defender named in Scottish Premier League Team of the Week
Uganda Cranes defensive stalwart Bevis Mugabi has been included in the Scotland Premier League team of the week.
Mugabi put up a dominant performance as his side Motherwell held Scottish heavyweights Celtic to a one-all stalemate on Saturday in the league.
With the game away to the table leaders and record holders Celtic, the latter were expected to cruise to a routine victory, but Mugabi and the rest of the Motherwell team stood firm to limit them to just a single goal.
The gigantic center-back was at the center of a spirited defensive display, making important blocks, clearances and providing precise build-up for 90 minutes.
It made it 12 league games for Mugabi out of a possible 14 this season, representing a leap in form as he only played 13 across the entire previous campaign.

Meanwhile, Motherwell are still far down on the table as they sit ninth on the 12-team table, with 13 points in 14 games.
On the other hand, despite dropping two points on home turf, Celtic stayed on top, having accumulated 36 points, eight ahead of runners-up Rangers.
