Bevis Mugabi: Uganda Cranes defender on target for Motherwell

Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi capped off another impressive display for Motherwell FC with a goal as they drew two-all with Jordan Obita's Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League.

Mugabi thought he had stolen victory for his side in the 64th minute, but Elie Youan struck late for the hosts, to share spoils at Easter Road on Tuesday.

It was one of his most impressive displays this season, earning a decent 7.8 Whoscored.com rating on the evening.

It made my two goals for Mugabi in the 2023/24 Scottish Premier League after his first against Dundee FC last month.

Mugabi, who is in his fifth season at Motherwell, has managed 19 league appearances this campaign, six more than he managed in the entirety of the previous one.

Meanwhile, UK-born defender with Ugandan roots, Obita, also played 90 minutes for Hibernian in the stalemate.

Obita has featured 16 times in the league this season, having joined in the 2023 summer transfer window from English League One side Wycombe.

Following the draw, Motherwell sit ninth on the 12-team log with 20 points in 21 games, while Hibernian are sixth with 25 points.
