Bring the trophy home - President Tinubu charges Super Falcons ahead of WAFCON final

The Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a 2-1 victory against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in a semifinal clash at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Rasheedat Ajibade converted a penalty while Michelle Alozie scored a late goal to send Nigeria to the final.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took to his official social media handle to congratulate Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their thrilling victory over South Africa.

The win propelled the nine-time champions into the final, bringing them within reach of a record-extending 10th continental title.

President Tinubu hailed the Super Falcons’ performance accompanied by images celebrating the team’s triumph.

Along with the post was a message that said, "Well deserved! Congratulations to our Super Falcons!
