The former Super Eagles midfield enforcer turns 49 and is being celebrated by several top football establishments.

On his birthday, the German First Division Bundesliga celebrated Oliseh on social media.

Bundesliga put out a photo of Oliseh during his playing time in Germany.

Oliseh featured for German side FC Köln from 1995 to 1997.

Upon his return from Ajax and Juventus, Oliseh made a name for himself with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund from 2000 to 2004.

He also had a loan spell with German outfit VfL Bochum during the 2003-2004 season.

Oliseh was one of Nigeria's representatives at the 2022 FIFA World Cup despite the failure of the Super Eagles to pick a ticket to the biggest football event on earth.

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder took up a position with the world football governing body FIFA to cover the World Cup.

Oliseh announced that he will be working on the World Cup with former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and some other high-profile names.

Oliseh took up the role with FIFA after a controversial departure as coach of lower league side SV 19 Straelen.
