CAF opens bid for 2024 CHAN, 2023 Women's Champions League host
CAF has started the process to look for the next host of the 2024 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN).
The submissions for interested hosts must be submitted by Sunday 6th, May.
The continental body has also opened the bid for the Women's Champions League that will be done concurrently with CHAN.
"CAF has opened the bidding process for the next host of CAF Women’s Champions League 2023 and TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) 2024 competitions," CAF announced.
Among the requirements, any interested nation must include the stadiums proposed to host the matches, accommodation and transport facilities and training facilities.
The national association must also present the government guarantees that include but not limited to entry visas and permits for the whole duration of the competition and a guarantee that any commitment which is formally entered into by the concerned National Association will also be considered as accepted by its government.
The 2023 edition hosted in Algeria saw the 2018 and 2020 champions Morocco fail to turn up in Algeria to a diplomatic row. Senegal won the title.
The Women's Champions League was first hosted in Egypt in 2021 and then the second edition held in Morocco.
Uganda will host the CECAFA qualifiers for the Champions League
