French winger Desire Doue has reportedly decided to join Paris Saint-Germain amid a slew of suitors for his highly-rated talent.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast-eligible winger came up through the ranks at Ligue 1 side Rennes. He made his senior debut in the 2022/23 season and rose in prominence for Les Rouges et Noirs.
This has earned him suitors from top clubs around Europe; however, he has now chosen to stay in France and sign for Ligue 1 record-holders PSG.
The details
Doue was a member of Thierry Henry's side that shone at the recently concluded Olympics and won the silver medal. He was one of the standout performers for France at the competition, carrying on his form from last season, which earned him many suitors.
Chelsea were one of those hot on his heels. Barcelona, PSG and Tottenham had concrete interest and Bayern tabled a formal offer, which got rejected.
The Parisiens have now beaten the rest of the class to the chase, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Doue has chosen PSG as his destination following the completion of his Olympic journey.
Meanwhile, Chelsea's move for Samu Omorodion has reportedly broken down. This affects Gallagher's transfer to Atletico Madrid, but both clubs are reportedly working hard to keep the former Crystal Palace midfielder’s transfer alive
