Chido Obi: Nigerian-born star scores 7 goals for Arsenal's U-18

There is news about an English youngster of Nigerian descent Chido Obi.

Arsenal's under-18 team defeated Norwich City 9-0 on Saturday thanks in large part to seven goals from youthful striker Chido Martin Obi.

The 16-year-old Martin Obi scored five goals in the first half, including his first two hat tricks in the first 17 minutes of play, and two more goals in the second half to bring his total to 24 goals in his last seven games.

That isn't even the Danish forward's season-high haul, though.

He scored ten goals in one game for Arsenal's U16s against Liverpool in November, leading to a 14-3 victory.

As a result, Arsenal is now in third position in the U18 Premier League South, seven points behind champions Chelsea and second-place West Ham United, who still have a game in hand.

The same agency that represents Arsenal player Bukayo Saka, Elite Project Group, said earlier this week that it has now included Martin Obi in its roster of athletes.

At the international youth level, Martin Obi, whose mother is Danish and whose father is Nigerian, has represented both Denmark and England.
