Christian Coleman ready to rumble with fellow big boys at the USTAF Olympic trials

Reigning World Indoor 60m champion Christian Coleman is one to watch when athletes descend on the track for the USTAF Olympic trials with the hope of securing tickets to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Coleman has proven from time to time that he is a strong athlete and is capable of executing great 100m races, something that sends chills down the spines of many sprinters including his compatriots Fred Kerley and Noah Lyles.

Coleman has already fired warning shots following his recent revelation, where he believes his body is responding well in the build-up to the Olympic trials. In an interview with Citius Mag, the American disclosed that his body is getting better with each and fans should be sure of a great treat at the trials.

“I’m just getting better and better with each…I’ll definitely run some more 200m races to work on that speed endurance and I guess when we tape off, things are going to keep getting better and better and faster,” Coleman said.

He has since been to two Diamond League Meetings since the season started. He opened the campaign with a win at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen before finishing second behind South Africa’s Akani Simbine at the Diamond League Meeting in Suzhou.

Speaking after the Diamond League Meeting in Suzhou, Coleman admitted that he could have executed the race better and noted that at the moment, he will just go back to the drawing board and address what cost him.

“I know I have so much to do and the plan coming here was to race and execute and I feel like I could have executed better today and you always want to win since it’s the big thing but I feel good about it since it feels like I’m continuing to improve,” Coleman said.
