David Beckham's wife films him painting Messi Mural welcoming him to Inter Miami

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham was filmed by his wife Victoria Beckham painting a mural of Lionel Messi in Miami, in a bid to welcome the Argentine to the city. 

The former Barcelona man ran down his Paris Saint-Germain contract after two seasons and was of interest to a number of clubs looking to sign him as a free agent. 

The Argentine turned down a bumper offer from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal and refused to wait for his boyhood club Barcelona, who needed time before they sent him an offer.  

He picked the MLS outfit Inter Miami, and his decision has been met with much fanfare. He is yet to resume at the club, but he continues to receive welcoming gestures.

The latest in the long line of the MLS's expressed happiness in Messi's arrival is a mural of his painted by one of the owners of his new club David Beckham. 

The former Manchester United star was filmed by his wife, the former Spice Girl star, Victoria Beckham, who took to Instagram to share pictures and videos of the act. 

The uploads showed the former Real Madrid star on a crane, and the work he did; one depicting Messi smiling and another an action image of him in an Inter Miami jersey. 

Victoria was proud of her husband, and captioned it "There's nothing David Beckham can't do," according to the Sun. 

Lionel Messi is still on holiday currently, but his MLS debut is expected to be met with a raucous reception, as tickets for his expected first match have already been sold out.
