Divine Mukasa helps England to 5-0 walloping of Kosovo
English-born attacker Divine Mukasa featured for the England U17 team as they trumped Kosovo U17 in the second Euro qualifier in Croatia on Monday.
The victory for Mukasa and the rest of the Young Lions made it two in as many games, scoring thirteen goals and conceding none.
Meanwhile, for the second match running, Mukasa came off the bench and featured for 29 minutes on another evening to remember.
While he didn't score or assist, the 16-year-old played a hand in the fourth and fifth goals for England, scored by Callum Olusesi and Luca Fletcher, respectively.
It should be noted that Mukasa bagged a brace in their 8-0 mauling of Faroe Islands last time out, on Thursday.
After six official games with England's U16 and U17 teams, Mukasa has now scored five goals.
The youngster and England will now take on Croatia U17 on Thursday in the next match.
The top two in each of the 13 groups, plus the five third-placed teams with the best records against those who have qualified from their pool, will secure a spot in the elite round.
March 2024's elite round will then determine the 15 teams who will join hosts Cyprus at the UEFA U17 EURO finals.
It's also worth noting that in the recent transfer window, Mukasa was signed by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City from the Westham Youth set-up.
Meanwhile, Divine Mukasa was born to a Ugandan father, Sam Mukasa and English mother, Laima Mukasa.
The left-footed gem, who still has a whole life ahead, is still eligible to play for Uganda should he change his mind.
