All three goals against The Gambia came in the first half, with Sheriff Sinyan opening the scoring in the 12th minute, Yankuba Minteh doubling the lead in the 26th, and Musa Barrow sealing it in the 38th. Harambee Stars managed to pull one back in the 81st minute through Ryan Ogam.

The Harambee Stars defender insisted that every player wants to prove themselves in the match against Seychelles, noting that fans should come and witness what they have in store for them.

Sylvester Owino revealed that the match will not be a walk in the park, but following their training, he believes the outcome will be positive.

“I think every player wants to redeem himself, and it’s an opportunity for the whole team to do better. We want to bring back the hope, and this is another opportunity which we can use to bring back the fans’ confidence, and we don’t want to disappoint them again,” Sylvester Owino added.

“It’s going to be a tough match because from the way they are playing, they are a good side as well, but I think if we minimise our mistakes, we shall be able to win comfortably.”

He urged fans to show up at the stadium, adding that losses are also part of the sport and fans should not give up on them during their struggles.

“We are good and the preparations are great, and we are looking to give our best and win convincingly. The fans were disappointed, but I would like to urge them to come and support us because this is football,” Boniface Muchiri said.

“We were looking to win, but that was not a good day in the office, and we are looking to give them something great when they come this time around. They should not get tired of supporting us.”

In their first leg encounter, Harambee Stars thrashed Seychelles 5-0 and they have the much-needed confidence to replicate the same performance on home soil.
