Efe Ajagba: Nigerian boxer celebrates 30th birthday with wife

There is news about Nigerian professional boxer Efe Ajagba.

Ajagba who holds the record for the fastest victory in boxing history has reason to celebrate.

On Monday, April 22, 2024, Ajagba turned 30-years-old.

The Ugheli-born boxer celebrated the special occasion in style.

His wife Tiya Renee took to social media to celebrate the special occasion.

Along with a photo of an outing was a message that said, "Happy Birthday Champ!!.

"I pray God continues to keep leading you, guiding you, and molding you into the man he has called you to be."

Ajagba's birthday comes after he defeated fellow Olympian and longtime sparring partner Guido Vianello of Italy.

Following ten heavyweight rounds, Vianello was declared the winner by one judge, 96-94, but Ajagba was declared the winner by two more judges.

Ajagba's win against Vianello means that he retained the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver belt.

It means he now has a shot-to-face British Boxer of Nigerian descent, Anthony Joshua.

Tyson Fury is the reigning WBC champion and there is expected to be a mandatory after his first fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

If stripped, Ajagba will be one of the contenders to face the number one-ranked Joshua for the WBC title.
