Brian Kasirye, Uganda's top seed, partnered with Fadilah Shamika Mohammed Rafi to defeat Adham Hatem and Elgamal Doha Hany in straight sets 14-21, 16-21.

But after that, Team Uganda's performance went downhill, starting with the Women's singles which saw Husina Kobugabe lose to Nour Ahmed Youssri in straight sets 21-15, 21-16.

Brian Kasriye's fight in the men's singles wasn't enough; despite winning the second set, he lost 21-19, 8-21, 21-19 in three sets.

The Women's doubles were Uganda's last opportunity to revive themselves. Still, Husina Kobugabe and Fadilah Shamika Mohammed Rafi fell short, losing in straight sets 21-15, 21-18 to Nour Ahmed Youssri and Doha Hany.
