Ezinne Kalu: D'Tigress superstar targets Los Angeles 2028 Olympics after Nigeria's loss to USA

There is news about Nigeria's senior women's basketball star known as D'Tigress.

D'Tigress are trending following their heroics at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

After defeating Nigeria's D'Tigress, Team USA women's basketball is getting closer to winning their tenth gold medal at the Olympics for the 59th time in a row.

For much of the first half, though, the game was tighter than Team USA perhaps would have liked.

Through the first quarter, Nigeria's formidable defense kept the score close, but shortly before halftime, the United States broke away but Nigeria were right there.

The US, which was composed of WNBA players, increased their lead in the second half and, at one point, almost doubled Nigeria's score on the scoreboard. Nigeria, though, has always kept it near.

Nigeria exited the competition as basketball greats, but the USA carried on with their relentless pursuit of yet another triumphant title defense.

Being the first African team (male or female) to participate at this level, D'Tigress created history in a multitude of ways when they left the court.

Nigeria was been amazing, captivating the hearts of basketball fans not only in Africa but also worldwide as underdogs and achieving historic and unheard-of triumph.

Superstar for D'Tigress Ezinne Kalu took to social media to state that the team did well.

She then stated that preparation for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles America is the goal.

She said, "In order to be the best you have to beat the best and unfortunately we fell short of that last night against USA but we keep our heads HELD HIGH!! 🫡

"I am so proud of what we have accomplished even when all odds were stacked against us! We stayed solid but most importantly we stayed TOGETHER 🤞🏾

"✅1st African team (men & women) to play in Olympic Quarter-Finals

D'Tigress are expected to stay in the Olympic Village till they depart after the closing ceremony.
