FIBA U18 Afrobasket: Nigeria demolishes Zimbabwe 107-30 in 2nd group game

Nigeria's youth women's basketball team were back in action at the FIBA U18 Afrobasket qualifiers.

The young team recorded a 107-30 victory win against their counterparts from Zimbabwe on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

The younger D'Tigress were under pressure coming into the game against Zimbabwe.

This is because of their flight details and troubles reported earlier with the South African Embassy.

The Team would arrive just in time before the start of the qualification series.

They however would suffer an 80-72 loss to their counterparts from Egypt to start the tournament.

In their second game against Zimbabwe, they made a massive statement with a 77-point blowout victory.

The team now has it all to do in their third group game against Uganda on Friday, September 6, 2024.

A victory against Uganda will see Nigeria advance to the knockout stages of thr tournament and have a chance of picking up of the continents tickets to the World Cup.
