The Citizens have moved separate ways with four first team players including defender Godffrey Wasswa, custodian Benjamin Ochan, forward Brian Aheebwa and left-back Mustafa Kizza.

According to reports, each of the quadrapple has failed to reach an agreement with the club, thus mutually moving apart.

Ochan, who captained the side last season, has been in his third stint at KCCA but has decided against renewing.

He played 21 league matches last season in the club's failed pursuit for glory, eventually missing out by goal difference to Vipers SC.

Aheebwa, meanwhile, has been at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo since the 2020/21 season and has gone to play 37 games in the league, including eight last campaign.

Kizza rejoined the Kasasiro Boys in January on a six-month deal, after an unsuccessful stint in Portugal, and made just six appearances as he was limited with injury setbacks.

On the other hand, Wasswa, who was one of the best defenders in the league last season, has spent two years at Lugogo.

He leaves after making 31 Uganda Premier League appearances for them, including 27 out of a possible 28 last season.

KCCA intends to submit their confirmed squad to CAF on time, ahead of their Confederation Cup engagement.
