FUFA Women Super League half-season Wrap: Kawempe Muslims in the lead, Wakiso Hill limping

The barren stalemate between FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens and Asubo Ladies FC at Kampala Quality Grounds on Saturday marked 50% of action this season.

The Queens squandered a chance to lead proceedings after nine games, only to settle for second place with 20 points.

Asubo, on the other hand, moved seventh on the ten-team table with nine points in as many matches.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslims LFC are top with 21 points and a massive 15-goal difference.

Kawempe are also the only team yet to suffer defeat, winning six and drawing thrice in the process.

On the other hand, Vipers SC's women's team, Wakiso Hills, rounded off the first-half bottom with five points in nine games.

She Maroons FC, Lady Doves WFC, UCU Lady Cardinals and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga sit third (13), fourth (12), fifth (12) and sixth (12), respectively.

Then, Makerere University WFC and Rines SS WFC then come eighth and ninth, respectively, on eight points apiece.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim star Agnes Nabukenya, who has scored six points, leads the scoring charts. She Maroons' Jackline Adong follows closely with five.
