Geoffrey Wasswa flies out to seal move to Ethiopian giants

Reliable sources have intimated to Pulse Sports Uganda that the former KCCA FC and Vipers SC player has flown out earlier on Monday to put pen to paper.

Uganda Cranes defender Geoffrey Wasswa is nearing a switch to Ethiopian side Ethiopian Buna on a permanent two-year employment contract.

Reliable sources have intimated to Pulse Sports Uganda that the former KCCA FC and Vipers SC player has flown out earlier on Monday to put pen to paper.

He is currently a free agent after being released by KCCA as the two parties failed to promptly reach an agreement on a contract extension.

Wasswa has since been linked to several clubs, including URA FC, Vipers SC, Rwanda's APR and Egypt's Wadi Degla, but, he will now settle for Ethiopian Buna.

He made 27 league appearances for KCCA last season as they came close to lifting the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title.

About Ethiopian Buna

Also known as Ethiopian Coffee Sport Club, the club which is based in Addis Ababa, was founded in 1976, and hosts at the 35,000 seater Addis Ababa Stadium.

It's the second most followed in the country after giants and arch-nemesis, Saint George.

They boast two Ethiopian Premier League titles, five Ethiopian Cups, four Ethiopian Super Cups and three Addis Ababa City Cups.
