Nigeria National Division One League set for July kick off

The National Division One League 2023 will hold in July 2023 in Benin City, Edo State.

The Division One league which is the second-tier handball league in the country will stage off in Benin City, Edo State from the 22nd to the 29th of July 2023.

This comes according to a statement signed by the Secretary General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Mr Almu Umar Lambu.

The second-tier league is organised by the Handball Federation of Nigeria and proudly sponsored by the Edo State government.

National Division One is a promotional league wherein four teams ( two each in the men and women category) get promoted to the top-tier handball premier league.

Teams expected to participate are those who have been relegated from the Premier League and wish to get promotion to the top-tier league.

Mr Lambu urges the participating team to quickly conclude their registration for the HFN and the organizing committee to adequately prepare for them.
