The transfer from Tusker FC star followed a meteoric rise in his career, which included a remarkable debut season in the FKF Premier League, where he scored 15 goals in just 17 appearances after being converted from a defensive midfielder to a centre-forward.

The key factor that accelerated his move and attracted the attention of European scouts was his heroic performance during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

Ryan Ogam was a standout performer for the Harambee Stars, scoring vital, match-winning strikes that propelled Kenya's campaign. Specifically, one of his most decisive acts was scoring the match-winning goal against Morocco, a former champion and tournament favourite.

This goal earned him a Man of the Match award and helped secure Kenya's spot in the quarterfinals, with his displays drawing praise and comparisons to Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga.

Wolfsberger AC's President, Dietmar Riegler, confirmed that the club had been following Ryan Ogam's progress closely, with his recent performances for the Harambee Stars further underlining his quality and potential.

The Austrian club views the 20-year-old as an investment in youthful flair and goal-scoring urgency to bolster their attacking options. For Ryan Ogam, who signed a contract that expires on June 30, 2028, the move is a challenging but exciting opportunity to test himself at a higher competitive level.
