‘He usually has to prove himself’ - Hoffeinhem manager reveals plan to integrate Super Eagles star
The 22-year-old is enjoying life in Germany after joining the Hoffenheim from Lyon during the January transfer window.
The Super Eagles star failed to get enough playing time in France and went out of form, leading to his departure.
Following his arrival, the forward came off the bench and scored twice in two straight games for the German side.
Christian speaks on Orban
Christian Ilzer has asked for patience with the former Gent striker, even though many have been demanding that the Nigerian be included in the starting lineup at the PreZero Arena.
According to Liga Insider, the Hoffenheim manager said, “He usually has to prove himself in short appearances.
“We are working on his integration bit by bit, but we have already made a lot of progress. He can already do it, but he will be able to help us a lot more in the future.”
Hoffenheim, currently four points above the relegation spots in the Bundesliga standings, has had trouble scoring goals, which is why they signed Gift Orban from Lyon.
Although Gift Orban joined the team in January, his two goals in four league games rank him fourth on the team's goalscoring list.
