History Maker: Osimhen becomes first Galatasaray player to ever score a brace in back-to-back Champions League matches

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen cemented his legendary status at Galatasaray on Wednesday night, not only inspiring a dominant 3-0 Champions League win over Ajax but also becoming the first player in the club's illustrious history to score a brace in consecutive UCL matches.

The 26-year-old followed up his brilliance against Bodo/Glimt on the previous matchday with another breathtaking performance in Amsterdam, scoring all three goals in a one-man show that utterly nullified Ajax's tactical preparations.

The performance was a direct and powerful rebuttal to Ajax coach John Heitinga, who had publicly detailed his smart defensive plan to "neutralise" the Nigerian striker.

Heitinga's side was immediately put under pressure, and after the first goal, a powerful header, the game transformed into the Victor Osimhen show.

His goals, including two penalties coolly converted after VAR checks, secured a crucial third successive victory for the Turkish giants.
