How much NEC collected in their stalemate with Bright Stars

Uganda Premier League newbies NEC Football Club raised UGX. 3,320,000 (about USD 878) from gate collections in their home bout against Soltilo Bright Stars FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.

The barren stalemate with the Kavumba-based side came with a point and a bit of dollars in the NEC pockets.

In their routine revelation about how much they've earned for every game for the home games, like Kitara FC, NEC continues to prioritize accountability to their fans.

"The support allowed us to raise UGX 3,320,000, which will greatly benefit our club's future endeavours," the club said in an appreciation statement.

Following the result, they are now fifth on the 16-team table with 21 points in 13 games.

They will play their first match of the new year against champions Vipers SC at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Soltilo Bright Stars, who sit tenth on the log with 15 points, will take on Maroons FC at the Kavumba Recreation Center on Tuesday.
