Huge blow for Arsenal as duo ruled out for the rest of the season
Arsenal’s fight for the Premier League title was dealt a huge blow as defenders William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Gunners, who are chasing their first title since 2004, remain with three games against Brighton this Sunday, Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Saliba, 22, has been out since March 16th after limping off against Sporting Lisbon in the 20th minute as Arsenal bowed out of the Europa League from the Round of 16.
The Frenchman was a key figure in Arsenal’s push but has now missed eight games.
Zinchenko was substituted after an hour after picking a calf injury in their 2-0 win at Newcastle last week.
Arsenal have accumulated 81 points, one behind Manchester City, who have a game at hand.
