‘I need my flowers’ - Forgotten Nigerian star reacts to playing against new Super Eagles head coach
Chelle was appointed as the new Super Eagles head coach by the NFF, ending the search for a coach for the national team.
The Malian took over from Augustine Eguavoen, who was appointed interim coach after the resignation of Finidi George.
Eguavoen made good use of the squad and qualified the Super Eagles for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

The two players were photographed fighting for possession of the ball during a Sochaux vs. Lens encounter fifteen years ago.
Ideye last played for the Super Eagles against Zambia in the 2018 World Cup qualifying tournament.
It's unknown if Ideye will be considered for a comeback to the national team or if the former Lens defender will continue with the Super Eagles roster given Chelle's appointment.
