‘I want these players, not new ones’ - Guardiola plays down new signings in January
Manchester City have struggled with their form in recent weeks, which has affected their performance in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
The Citizens lost their seventh game of the season, following a 2-0 defeat against Juventus in Turin on Wednesday night.
The defeat has left them in 22nd place on the UCL table, with automatic qualification looking out of their reach.
Guardiola speaks on January signing
Manchester City manager Guardiola has given an update on bringing in new players into the team in January.
According to Fabrizio on X, Guardiola said, “What I want is my players back! I will love desperately to compete with the squad that we had at the beginning of the season.
“I always said I want THESE players, not new ones. But in the certain moment, the right moment, we will see.”

The Spanish manager has insisted that he does not need new players in his team and wants his injured players back.
Guardiola believes that Man City’s struggles have been caused by injuries to their top players this season.
The likes of Rodri, Mateo Kovacic and some other top players have all been injured within the first 15 games of the season.
However, despite the injuries, Guardiola will be looking to get his team back on track when they face their rivals Manchester United on Sunday.
