It is impossible - Transfer spokesperson claims Fenerbahce’s move turned down by Osimhen
The summer transfer window is expected to feature one of its biggest stories around the Nigerian international, who is currently on loan from Napoli.
The 26-year-old striker has garnered interest from many of Europe's top clubs, although Galatasaray is reportedly interested in making his loan permanent.
Osimhen's impressive run with Galatasaray has seen him score 29 goals and contribute six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions, as he drives the team towards a possible domestic double.
Fenerbahce eyes Osimhen
Fenerbahce unexpectedly entered the race to sign Osimhen from their crosstown rivals amidst growing interest from top European clubs.
In an attempt to initiate discussions, the José Mourinho-managed club reportedly hired a prominent agent.
Nigerian journalist and Osimhen confidant Buchi Laba disclosed on social media that the striker instantly rejected the approach.
He said on X, “Fenerbahçe involved a big agent to try and convince Victor Osimhen, but all approach was immediately rebuffed.
“It is impossible. There are bigger, better clubs interested. Decision will be made at the end of the season.”

Osimhen has his sights set on the Premier League, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United all keeping a close eye on him, but a move there is still a dream.
Fenerbahce is officially out of the running for Osimhen, whose next move will likely be a major summer headline saga decided after the season ends.
