Super Falcons of Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala was in action as Al Hilal secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over Al Qadsiah in their opening match of the 2025-2026 Saudi Women's Premier League (SWPL) season.

Oshoala found the net in her debut for Al Hilal on Friday, September 12, 2025.

The six-time African Women's Player of the Year, joined Al Hilal from Bay FC this transfer season and was named in the starting line up.

The match began with Al Hilal dominating as Al Bandari Mobarak gave the home side the lead in the 30th minute.

Mobarak then doubled the lead in the 36th minute but Al Qadsiah pulled one back through Lea Le Garrec in the 44th minute as Al Hilal went to the break with a 2-1 lead.

In the second half, Adriana equalized for Al Qadsiah in the 58th minute.

Oshoala would put Al Hilal in front again through a penalty in the 62nd minute.

Jéssica Silva then scored the fourth for Al Hilal in the 74th minute, extending the lead.

Al Qadsiah mounted a late challenge, with Dzsenifer Marozsán pulling one back from the penalty spot in additional time, but Al Hilal held on for the win and picked up three points.

Asisat Oshoala celebrates debut goal

Oshoala explained her debut performance in the win for Al Hilal.

She said, "I think really good game today for us, as a team.

"I think, of course, especially, first game at home against a very good side Kaia.

"it's just a beginning, first game of the season, and we hope to continue like this as a team."

Oshoala is expected to return to action when Al Hilal takes on Al Ahli in their next game.
