Spurs and Manchester United will compete in a highly anticipated European final on Wednesday, both seeking redemption in what promises to be a memorable contest.

Having won only 11 of their 37 Premier League matches this season, Spurs find themselves in 17th place as they head into Wednesday's Europa League final.

Tottenham is one of the few teams that achieved a league double over United in 16th place and also defeated them in the Carabao Cup.

What Hazard said about Arsenal’s season

Hazard contends that if Tottenham Hotspur breaks their 17-year trophy drought, their season will be considered superior to that of Arsenal, who finished second.

He told The Sun, “Are we a better team than Arsenal? No. Not at this moment in time. If we win a trophy and qualify for the Champions League, have we had a better season than Arsenal? Yes. It’s not a question of doubt in my mind.

“The game is about glory. Would you rather celebrate finishing second and losing the semi-finals or walking away with a trophy that’ll also get you the Champions League? I know which I’d prefer.”

Arsenal are set to end their season trophyless, extending their silverware drought to five years.

The team was eliminated from three major competitions, including a Champions League semi-final defeat by Paris Saint-Germain, a Carabao Cup semi-final loss to Newcastle, and an FA Cup third-round elimination by Manchester United.

Hazard believes that if Tottenham Hotspur were to win a trophy, it would be a more significant achievement than any of Arsenal's accomplishments, regardless of their respective league positions.
