Just over a month since joining Rwandan side Sunrise FC, Ugandan coach Jackson Mayanja is already delivering the goods.

Mayanja picked his third victory in six games as Sunrise beat Amagaju 2-1 in the Rwanda Premier League.

It's now three wins for Mayanja, a draw and two defeats since joining the side at the tail end of October this year.

At the time of his appointment in Rwanda, Sunrise languished at the base of the league table, but they currently sit 10th on the 16-team table.

Mayanja's Sunrise beat AS Kigali 1-0, drew 0-0 with Kiyovu SC, and lost 1-0 each to APR and Gasogi United before beating Gorilla 2-0 and Amagaju, respectively.

Sunrise will round off the first round of the Rwanda Premier League with a trip to Marines FC.

Before Sunrise, Mayanja had formerly coached AS Kigali as Mike Mutebi’s assistant two years ago.

He also coached top sides, including the Uganda Cranes, Bunamwaya (Vipers), KCCA, URA FC, Simba SC in Tanzania, and Kagera Sugar, among others.
