Jackson Mayanja extends excellent run in Rwanda

At the time of Mayanja's appointment, Sunrise sat at the base with six defeats in eight games but have since managed significant leaps.

Uganda Cranes legend Jackson 'Mia Mia' Mayanja pushed further his excellent recent run with his club Sunrise Football Club.

Sunrise managed to beat Bugesera 2-0 in the Rwanda Premier League, thanks to goals from Yafesi Mubiru and Prosper Nzabonimana.

The victory took Sunrise to the eighth on the 16-team log with 24 points, just three months after facing threats of relegation.

Mayanja and his team haven't smelt defeat in their last six league games, managing four victories and two stalemates.

At the time of Mayanja's appointment, Sunrise sat at the base with six defeats in eight games but have since managed significant leaps.

They have collected 18 points in ten games under Mayanja's watch, a truly heroic achievement at the club.
