The forward came on for Tshisungu Kankonde as head coach Jackson Mayanja looked for ways of opening up the opposition away from home.

Saidi Mayanja provided the assist for the KCCA Academy graduate to control and shoot to hand KCCA all three points.

The Lugogo-based side had seen Muhammad Shaban's goal cancelled for offside.

A tightly-contested first half ended with no goals, and the visitors had it all to do in the second half.

And with all the three teams in the title race in action at the same time, fans and officials kept in touch with proceedings from Wankulukuku, where table leaders SC Villa were hosting third-placed Vipers.

Charles Bbale scored early in the first half to give Villa the advantage, and that had some faces worried and hoping for victory in Jinja.

In the end, both number one and two got the job done, and Villa maintained their two-point advantage at the top of the log.
